🔬 Tier List Methodology

This Crusaders Quest : Hero Town tier list is compiled using the following criteria, evaluated at three game stages (early, mid, and late game):

  • Idle efficiency — How much does this hero contribute per hour without player interaction?
  • Gold cost impact — Does this hero reduce or increase gold expenditure (e.g. free revives)?
  • Party synergy — Does this hero enable combo mechanics with other heroes?
  • Scaling ceiling — How powerful does the hero become at max Bond + full Skill Tree?
  • Boss performance — Is the hero effective against Field Boss encounters?
  • Replaceability — Can another hero fill this role equally well or better?

⚠️ This tier list will be revised with each major game update. Last updated: March 2026 (launch version).

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

What makes a hero S-Tier in Hero Town?

S-Tier heroes either fill a critical role better than any alternative (like Lyra Stormbow for AoE damage) or provide utility that scales linearly with game length (like Sera's free revives saving gold all game).

Is the tier list different for early vs late game?

Yes. Sera and Marcus are S-Tier in the early game due to their irreplaceable survival contribution, but their individual tier drops slightly in the late game when stronger Epic alternatives become available. Zephyrus conversely starts lower but reaches true S-Tier potential only with full Skill Tree investment.

Should I replace my B-Tier heroes?

Not immediately — B-Tier heroes serve a valid purpose in the early game. Replace them when you have the gold and resources to recruit and fully invest in their A or S-Tier equivalent. Partial investment in a higher-tier hero is often weaker than a fully invested B-Tier hero.

How often is the tier list updated?

This tier list reflects the launch version (March 2026). As Hero Town receives content updates and the community discovers new strategies, we will revise tier rankings accordingly. Bookmark this page for the latest version.

Does the tier list account for Bond bonuses?

Yes. All tier rankings assume max Bond level for each hero, as Bond bonuses are achievable for any hero with consistent orchard gifting and are a key part of each hero's full power ceiling.
